Now you can transform a hotel ballroom into a life-size puzzle! For this team building event, participants are “locked” in a room and must escape by exploring their surroundings to find clues and

5. Rock Against the Clock

One of our newest CSR team building activities is our music-focused Rock Against the Clock. At the start of this program, each team is given a guitar body with several missing parts
(neck, bridge, strings, etc.). First, participants compete against one another in a variety of challenges to earn the missing pieces of their guitars. Once assembly is complete, teams will play a song using a tablet and instructional apps. After the mini-concert, a representative from a local Boys & Girls Club (and possibly some youth participants) will accept the group’s donation.

6. FootGolf

Following the basic rules of golf, this game utilizes a regulation size soccer ball and 21-inch diameter cups. Don’t worry, we guarantee novices and pros alike will get a kick out of this unique activity.

That’s SoCal: Anaheim Event Venues

Last week, we recommended some of our favorite San Diego event venues. This week we’re zeroing in on Anaheim, a frequent destination for corporate travelers from around the world. Undoubtedly, luxury hotels, iconic theme parks, trendy restaurants, and massive stadiums factor into Anaheim’s popularity. While there’s no shortage of Anaheim event venues to choose from, we’ve highlighted some of our recent favs below.

Anaheim Packing District

First let’s explore Anaheim Packing District, the newly renovated downtown gathering place. Highlights include The Packing House, which harbors Cooks Chapel (a community kitchen and event space), and The Backyard outdoor venue. Here, visitors can sample 20+ artisan eateries, wine-taste in a 1920’s railroad boxcar appropriately named The BXCR, or experience out of this world mixology at The Blind Rabbit. In short, these Anaheim event venues truly pack a punch!

Craft Beer Scene

Like its San Diegan neighbors to the south, Anaheim is “hopping” back on board the craft beer scene. Actually, brewing beer is in Anaheim’s roots (German colonials brewed here as early as 1870). Now, the resurrected Anaheim Brewery, Backstreet Brewery, and Bottle Logic Brewing are just some of the local breweries we recommend. These casual Anaheim event venues provide the perfect respite for groups looking to take a break after a long day of meetings.

Sports Stadiums

Now a little something for the Sports fans! Here in Orange County, locals cheer for their MLB Angels and NHL Ducks. And where there are major sports teams, there are major stadium venues. Hence, a diverse selection of function space at Angel Stadium and Honda Center. For example, meeting planners can opt for a catered game-day experience for small VIP groups. Or, for large convention groups, we suggest a full venue buyout with private tours and big name entertainment.

Event Spotlight – Top Gun Party at MCAS Miramar Officer’s Club

Can we just say how much fun Top Gun theme parties are at San Diego’s MCAS Miramar? The classic movie may be 30 years old, but that doesn’t stop our corporate groups from “feeling the need for speed” at one of the film’s most famous locations. Last month, one of our groups was treated to such an experience. Here’s a glimpse of some of the services we provided.

Transportation

MCAS Mirmar is an active military base, so we always make sure to navigate the venue’s many rules and regulations, ensuring safe and secure transport for all our guests!

Flightline & Hangar Tour

The event started off with a tour of Miramar’s flightline and hangar, where guests enjoyed an up-close glimpse of amazing military aircraft.

Cocktail Reception & Seated Dinner

We provided an upgraded event decor package for this indoor/outdoor soiree, moving away from the typical patriotic look and instead focusing on beautiful colors and rustic accents like burlap and market string lights. The client provided each guest with fun amenities like aviators and engraved dog tags.

Entertainment

Classy background music was provided throughout the reception and dinner via the talented Brian Stodart duo. The event culminated with a hilariously entertaining performance by our “Maverick” and “Goose” doppelgangers.
