Event Spotlight: Close Encounters of the Animal Kind

This summer, we encourage all our animal-loving corporate groups to experience San Diego’s wildlife by land and by sea. One of our recent groups out of the Loews Coronado Bay Resort did just that! Their tour program included the following:

1. San Diego Zoo Special Tour and Lunch at Treetops. This exclusive, 90 minute tour was a great mini-introduction to the world-famous San Diego Zoo’s mammal, bird and plant collections. The Special Tour included a private bus tour and a visit to one off-exhibit area. We made it extra-special by adding a private lunch at Treetops, a serene sky-high venue featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and African decor.

2. La Jolla Shores Kayaking Tour:  This guided kayak tour allowed our group to explore the abundant wildlife and amazing views of the La Jolla Cove and Sea Caves. Guests worked up an appetite on this physically demanding aquatic adventure, so The Event Team staff greeted them with delicious boxed lunches upon their arrival back to shore.

3. Horseback Riding on the Beach: Our two hour guided country-meets-coast ride led guests along San Diego’s Tijuana River Valley trail out to San Diego’s southernmost beach. Snacks and water were provided.

Happy trails!

4. La Jolla Coast Walk & Shopping Tour: This hybrid tour is wonderful for nature-lovers and city-slickers alike. We began with an educational walk along the beautiful La Jolla coastline, where guests witnessed several creatures in their natural habitats, including pelicans, cormorants, rocky inter-tidal life, and harbor seals. Back in the village, attendees enjoyed the fabulous shopping experience La Jolla has to offer.
