The Event Team’s Executive Assistant Katie Bowen has just been announced as a finalist for San Diego Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards.

WEBSITE-KatieKatie will be honored not only for her exceptional work in the office over the last couple years, but also for her volunteer work for the San Diego Spaniel Rescue since 2004. She is a very deserving finalist and we are all proud of her! Check out some congratulatory comments from her colleagues:

“Katie joined our sales team over a year ago, and the impact she’s made on our team has been nothing short of amazing. Her steadfast work ethic has made her invaluable, and her abilities and talent are second to none. By utilizing her interior design background, she’s elevated our proposal development to a new level, by incorporating impactful and refreshing graphics design and CAD skills to our presentations. There is no doubt in my mind that she has greatly helped us secure new business thanks to her contributions. Simply put she’s awesome, I think we’ll keep her!”
Bill Yahres, CMP – VP Sales & Marketing

“Katie spends her days at The Event Team spinning several different plates, and she makes it looks easy. She is unbelievably talented and creative and has carved out an important role within the company for herself. On top of this, she is genuinely kind and motivated to work with others to achieve bigger goals. Her focus on teamwork and community spirit travels with her inside or outside of the office.
Lindsay White – Director of Sales & Marketing

“Katie’s knowledge of computer assisted design has expanded our company’s capability. We’re now able to produce complex event layouts which means we can deliver a higher level of service for our clients. That we do so in-house makes The Event Team more competitive. A win-win all around.”
