Dannsair at Dargan’s Irish Pub:
What better way to celebrate the Irish than putting back a cold pint of Guinness at one of Santa Barbara’s favorite Irish pubs? Dargan’s Irish Pub has been serving traditional Irish fare for the better part of the last 20 years, continuing an age old Dargan tradition spanning over multiple generations. In charge of the St. Patrick’s Day entrainment is Dannsair, a traditional folk music group who plays traditional, world, and Irish music.
The James Joyce:
As Santa Barbara’s first Irish pub, The James Joyce holds a special place in the pints of locals. With a welcoming atmosphere and ambiance, it is easy to see why many rate it as one of the most authentic Irish pubs outside the motherland. Local live music will be the entertainment for St. Patrick’s Day, with darts and billiards also available for patrons. Combine that with some quality Irish whiskey and you have yourself a one heck of a celebration!

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day desert style in Indian Wells. Vicky’s of Santa Fe is serving up traditional Irish dinners complete with beautiful desert views. After dinner, head to the Music Lounge for traditional Irish tunes performed by the Carolyn Martinez Trio.
Red Hot Chilli Pipers at Shamrock’n’Roll:
You read that right. This 21+ event kicks off Thursday night at downtown Palm Spring’s Spa Resort Casino. The outdoor festival features a beer garden, food specials, live entertainment, and a souvenir cup. Which is excellent considering you’ll probably want a keepsake memento from the night you taught yourself how to drunkenly dance to “bag rock” music.
