Grab your floaties and your flip-flops and get ready to soak up the remaining weeks of summer! We asked The Event Team’s own Taryn and JC to research some of the coolest pools in Southern California for group activities and events. Check out their findings below:
The Pearl Hotel
All summer long FREE “Dive-in” movie showings of classic and current films are projected poolside onto a 10’ x 13’ screen. The weekly event is free to hotel guests and free to others with a drink purchase. Reserverations recommended.
1410 Rosecrans St, San Diego, CA 92106 – More info
If you’re searching for the perfect wave this summer, head to WaveHouse in Mission Beach. This wave pool has been providing excellent surf and demonstrations shows for over ten years at Belmont Park. Test your moves on the FlowRider wave pool or leave it to the pros and keep sipping your Mai Tai. (We vote the latter).
3125 Ocean Front Walk, San Diego, CA 92109 – More info
Monarch Beach Resort
If there was ever a reason to escape to Orange County, this is it. Monarch Beach Resort has gone under a massive renovation and revealed this amazing pool oasis. The pool complex has infinity-edge Ocean pools, private cabanas, mini-bars, lounges and fire pits.
1 Monarch Beach Resort N., Dana Point, CA 92629 – More info
Knott’s Soak City
One of the best ways to cool off this summer is at Knott’s Soak City. You’ve heard of its sister property, Knott’s Berry Farm, but Soak City is all about the aquatic fun. Enjoy amazing slides and pools like Pacific Spin or Tidal Wave Bay Wavepool. If you’re looking to rest and recharge the Sunset River is the place to be.
8039 Beach Blvd., Buena Park, CA 90620 – More info
Annenberg Community Beach House
Opening as the Annenberg Community Beach House in April 25, 2009, the former Marion Davies Estate (developed by William Randolph Hearst) is a summer hotspot for anyone looking for a true Santa Monica experience. Tired of swimming in the pool? You’re in luck; the beach is a few steps away! Annenberg also offers a ton of classes for those looking to practice their volleyball, surfing, or yoga. Corporate and private events are also an option. The pool is open to all with only a $10 admission fee.
415 Pacific Coast Hwy, Santa Monica, CA 90402 – More info
This beautiful pool is a bit more exclusive and not open to the public. To gain access you will need to rent out the Houdini Estate, but be careful! Visitors have reported sightings of Houdini’s ghost around the grounds. If you’re not put off by the supernatural, this Laurel Canyon home hidden in the Hollywood Hills is the perfect place to cool off in style. Check out this recent Los Angeles corporate event we organized at the estate.
2400 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90046 – More info
The Parker Palm Springs
The resort features two pools for families and adults-only. The poolside Lemonade Stand provides a delightful and delicious nostalgia keeping both sides of the family happy with unlimited refills for the kids and spiked cocktails for the adults. This is a definite upgrade from the neighborhood sidewalk stand.
4200 E Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs, CA 92264 – More info
Santa Barbara Beach Club
This picturesque residence is the perfect venue for those looking to host the ultimate pool soiree. With a spectacular view from the pool and Jacuzzi, this estate and pool is among the most luxurious in the American Riviera. As is with the Houdini Estate, you’ll have to rent the property to use the facilities, but should you choose to indulge, it will most definitely be worth it!
5277 Austin Rd, Santa Barbara, CA 93111 – More info
