Every quarter, The Event Team takes a moment to honor the “super people” who demonstrated exceptional service and professionalism. We are grateful to those who commit to making our company successful across Southern California. In addition to our full and part-time staff, we also honor several partners within the hospitality field.

Full Time Employee of the Quarter: Lindsay White, Director of Marketing 

Lindsay works closely with the sales team to ensure all marketing needs are met. “Lindsay has stepped up big time as head of Marketing,” reports President Matt Robbins. “We are very lucky to have a creative force like her on our team.”

Hotelier of the Quarter: Joyce Lu, Group Sales Manager, Starwood (San Diego, CA)

National Sales Manager Steve Larson nominated Joyce Lu from Starwood San Diego because of the relationship they fostered this year. “Joyce is a great partner of The Event Team,” said Steve. “She always thinks about the needs of her clients, and makes sure to understand what they want to accomplish when visiting San Diego.” Whether we’re attending an industry mixer together or collaborating on a San Diego corporate group event, our team always enjoys Joyce’s company and partnership.

The Ops team recognizes Kristen Spooner with AFR for her dedication to The Event Team and our clients.  This quarter, we faced some unexpected program challenges, and Kristen showed us her expert troubleshooting skills! Kristen went above and beyond to make sure our client’s expectations were met and worked hard to stay true to the original concept for their meeting. Having valued relationships with vendors like Kristen and AFR makes it so rewarding to partner together on events. We look forward to more exciting events together!
