The Event Team is not even through the first quarter of 2016, and we’re already checking the collective pulse of our Operations Department to make sure they’re still alive! Last week, our corporate event planning San Diego team just wrapped up a citywide program that operated over twenty corporate events in three days. Utilizing a variety of the city’s best restaurants and event venues, The Event Team destination management company accommodated nearly 2,000 guests during this three day San Diego convention. California Princess: The yacht so nice, we used it twice! We chartered this beautiful boat for two different clients during the citywide program. We love the California Princess for its versatile daytime/evening options. Guests can enjoy a lunchtime cruise around sunny San Diego bay, or opt for an elegant evening with dinner and views of the twinkling downtown skyline.
Casa Guadalajara: One of our client’s welcome receptions took place at this group-friendly restaurant in historic Old Town San Diego. Casa Guadalajara is known for its authentic regional Mexican cuisine, beautiful dining rooms, and delicious margaritas. If you’re willing to venture outside of downtown San Diego for your next citywide program, we highly recommend an evening in Old Town!
Greystone Steakhouse: We were happy to offer this popular Gaslamp eatery as a venue for a 40 person dinner event during the San Diego citywide. The restaurant’s fresh menu, excellent wine selection, and charming mezzanine make it one of The Event Team’s favorites!
Petco Park – The Loft: The Event Team contracted this unique event space for an afternoon reception. Located on the fourth floor of the historic Western Metal Supply Co. Building, this Petco Park corporate event venue celebrates the history of San Diego and honors the great tradition of baseball. Featuring an open terrace with panoramic views of the Padres playing field, The Loft is a home run in our book!
Rooftop 600 at Andaz: San Diego’s largest rooftop lounge provided an awesome venue for one of the awards ceremonies we facilitated. Directly above the hustle and bustle of the Gaslamp District, this is a great way to “elevate” your group’s San Diego experience.
San Diego Museum of Art: A San Diego citywide wouldn’t be complete without a trip to world famous Balboa Park. Event spaces abound in this cultural mecca, from the San Diego Zoo, to the Prado restaurant, to a multitude of museum options. For this particular citywide, our client chose the San Diego Museum of Art as a host venue for their awards dinner. Featuring a spectacular rotunda and gorgeous Spanish architecture, this is a perfect choice for an elegant event.
San Diego Wine and Culinary Center: One of our receptions was held at this casual yet elegant facility located just steps from the San Diego Convention Center. This is a tried and true favorite for The Event Team’s San Diego corporate events, featuring a convenient location and versatile indoor/outdoor space combined with delicious food and wine pairings.
The Ultimate Skybox: One of San Diego’s most popular corporate event spaces, we operated two programs at this sky-high downtown venue: a reception for 200+ on a flow, and an awards dinner for 85 guests. With indoor/outdoor space and breathtaking views of the San Diego City skyline, San Diego Bay, and Coronado, we can’t think of a better way to showcase our beautiful city to our corporate guests!
Union Kitchen and Tap: You can’t host a citywide in San Diego without highlighting our destination’s wildly popular craft beer scene! Well, you could, but we don’t recommend it! Union Kitchen and Tap was a wonderful choice for our group’s 50-person dinner. This neighborhood restaurant serves up New American food paired with the finest craft beer around. You’ll feel like a local in no time!
University Club: This exclusive members-only venue was utilized for an intimate dinner of 45 guests. The award winning University Club sits high atop Symphony Towers, boasting a spectacular panoramic view of the San Diego downtown skyline.
